Las Vegas Careers

Extern Description:

The Medical Assistant Extern is responsible for handling front and back office duties in our fast-paced and energetic offices.  We have two locations in Las Vegas, one in the North off of Rainbow and one in the south off of Windmill. 


Externs will be under the supervision of a senior staff member at all times and have opportunities to train the many aspects of preventative health and wellness that e7 Health offers. 

Extern Learning Opportunities:

  • Check-in patients and prepare charts
  • Utilize electronic charting system called e7 Charts 
  • Screen and educate patients prior to vaccination
  • Administer vaccines
  • Administer and read TB skin tests
  • Phlebotomy and laboratory collection
  • Prepare rooms for patients
  • Take and record vital signs
  • Conduct EKGs
  • Conduct Audiograms (hearing tests)
  • Communicate with medical and office staff
  • Answer phone calls
  • Complete administrative duties as needed

Skills / Requirements

  • Current enrolled in a Medical Assistant (MA) program at a credentialed school certificate 
  • Current CPR card (We provide BLS class for new and expiring cards)
  • Exceptional telephone skills including script memorization and implementation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Able to maintain professionalism and customer focus in a stressful and fast-paced environment
  • Able to multi-task while ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Type minimum of 35 WPM

We are looking for an exceptional individual with high energy and outstanding customer service skills to fill the Front Office Medical Assistant position. 

Job Description:

The Front Office Medical Assistant is responsible for handling front office reception and administrative duties in our fast-paced and energetic offices.  Duties include but are not limited to; greeting patients, completing patient paperwork, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling company inquiries.

Job Duties:

  • Welcome patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone
  • Complete patient check in and check out along with applicable patient paperwork
  • Process payments for patient services
  • Answer or refer company inquiries
  • Maintain a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Complete daily and weekly supply inventory
  • Coordinate mail flow in and out of office
  • Scan and fax documents as needed
  • Prepare agenda for weekly employee meeting

We are searching for a dedicated, hard-working, full time Physician Assistant to join our team. We have immediate openings for the right candidates.

Job summary

The Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Medical Director. We will train the right candidate in all facets of Preventative Health, Immunization Medicine, Travel Medicine, Drug Testing, Immigration Services and Employee Health.


Qualifications
• Physician Assistant license in Nevada, in good standing with DEA number.
• Current driver's license with access to your vehicle 24/7.
• Current ALS card from an AHA certified training center.
• Strong computer skills with ability to type at least 40 WPM.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Leadership and management skills as well as being team player.
• Willingness to learn and be coached.
• Be able to pass a drug test.
